What is GolfWeather.app?
GolfWeather.app provides hyperlocal weather forecasts and playability scores for golf courses worldwide. Unlike generic weather apps, every forecast is tied to the exact location of your course — giving you more accurate data for planning your round.
The Playability Score
Every hour gets a playability score from 0–10. The score factors in temperature, wind speed, rain probability, humidity, and UV index — weighted to reflect what actually affects a round of golf.
- 9–10 — Perfect: Ideal conditions — no excuses
- 7–8 — Great: Very good, minor factors to consider
- 5–6 — Fair: Playable but noticeable conditions
- 3–4 — Marginal: Tough conditions, consider delaying
- 0–2 — Poor: Not recommended
Weather Data
Forecasts are sourced from Open-Meteo, a free and open-source weather API with high-resolution forecasts across Europe. Data is updated every hour for all 750+ courses.
Course Data
Course locations and metadata are sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors. If you notice a course that's missing or incorrectly located, please let us know.
